Emergency Repair Contacts
If you find yourself with an emergency at your property outside normal business hours and you are unable to get a hold of a staff member of ours, please try contacting one of the following contractors.
The law distinguishes between urgent (emergency) repairs and those which are not so urgent.
Urgent Repairs are:
- a burst water service or a serious water service leak
- a blocked or broken toilet
- serious roof leak
- a gas leak
- a dangerous electrical fault
- flooding or serious flood damage
- serious storm or fire damage
- a failure or breakdown of the gas, electricity, or water supply to the premises
- a failure or breakdown of the hot water service
- a failure or breakdown of the stove or oven
- a failure or breakdown of a heater or air-conditioner
- a fault or damage which makes the premises unsafe or insecure
No Power?
Please first:
- Unplug all your appliances and then reset your safety switch in your meter box. Sometimes power goes out due to faulty appliances.
- Check with your chosen electricity provider to ascertain if there are any outages or work being carried out locally which may be affecting your property.
- Check with your neighbours to see if the problem is isolated to your property.
Please first:
- Check with Bega Valley Shire Council on 6499 2222.
No Gas?
Please first:
- Check that you have gas in the bottle.
- Check that your Pilot Light is on and burning.
- Check that your appliance is turned on.
- Check with YOUR CHOSEN GAS PROVIDER.
If you have checked all the above, and our office is not open, please contact one of our emergency contact tradespeople from the list below.

Please note that in the case where you lock yourself out of the property and need to get a locksmith, this cost will be incurred by the tenant.
In relation to any maintenance issues that are reported and then found to be user error etc., the cost of the
contractor’s call out fee will be incurred by the tenant.
